Some nice things people have said about RubyTapas.
Binge watching @rubytapas by @avdi all weekend, completely worth missing the Superbowl for.
Can verify, subscribed and then became more awesome at Ruby
Got @rubytapas yesterday. 400+ episodes. #4 "Barewords" already mind boggling + uses @terryandrob references. Don't wait as long as I did
RubyTapas is pretty much as good as they come 🙂
Of course, I already managed to find a great use of @avdi's latest RubyTapas in my codebase. That happens a lot.
@MarmiteJunction no matter how much ruby I think I know, @avdi's videos always remind me there is still more to learn
I'm a huge fan of the work @avdi is doing with @rubytapas and #brunch Amazing content!
Thank you for your continuous effort in producing what is in my opinion the best Ruby screencast series out there. Having 8 years of Ruby experience myself, I rarely stumble upon content that provides me with new insights. RubyTapas continues to surprise me in this regard again and again. Even if something isn't new to me, you always manage to sum things up very well so I can point others to one of your videos.
Pro-Tip for your first dev/engineering role: @rubytapas is the BEST.
I subscribed to @rubytapas two weeks ago, and I am binge-watching ever since. Awesome and entertaining. Thanks, @avdi, and #KUTGW
Finally catching up with @rubytapas episodes, so much wisdom, so many useful tiny bits to learn!
I'm a big fan and subscriber of @rubytapas. It's how I continuously improve.
Both in 2014 and 2015 my favorite video was by @avdi of @rubytapas ; worth your money
If you are a Ruby developer you should subscribe... It WILL make you a better Rubyist.
I love love love @rubytapas! Highly recommended.
Ruby Tapas is among my favorite resources for programmers
If you haven't subscribed to @rubytapas yet, you really should. Pearls of wisdom in every episode, delivered in a very approachable way. <3
I <3 your videos; I smile every time one shows up in my inbox.
I always learn something new from @avdi ’s Ruby Tapas. You should try it. http://t.co/7AKw7phIoj
Love your screencasts! I constantly find myself thinking, didn't Avdi solve a similar problem in one of his shows? This always leads to your site and a quick search (the search is awesome!), and then I'm off and running with an "Avdi inspired" solution!
Ruby Tapas is definitely my favorite screencast. It's one of the few that also caters for more experienced developers. The value is not only in new episodes (which I look forward to as much as Rick and Morty) but previous screencasts that are still extremely relevant. Without exaggeration, I learn so much EACH TIME I revisit an episode. As it is not tied to a specific framework, it has even improved the general way I think about programming. I take a lot of cues in the way Avdi teaches and explains concepts using simple metaphors like playing cards and pizza boxes to drill important concepts.
@avdi Happy birthday! Thank you for all that you do. I’m a better programmer thanks to you.
Yesterday I did subscribe to @rubytapas by @avdi
I regret it.
I regret it for not do it before, subscribe now.
Trust me.
I recommend your podcast to almost every candidate I reject during recruitment
Can't think of a better way to get more familiar with Ruby than @rubytapas!
I’ve been a very happy RubyTapas subscriber for years — it is delightful.
My code is better and my job is easier because of @rubytapas. Couldn't ask for a better teacher or a nicer guy than @avdi ??
I always get extremely motivated by watching RubyTapas
This is why I love @rubytapas. Straight up ruby magic. https://t.co/tyahuiyR1u #ruby #rails #webdev
Ruby Tapas is my favorite tech subscription!
No matter what languages you write programs in, Ruby Tapas is vital watching. Happy subscriber for 3+ years.
Warning: Don't let @avdi fool you with his 4 minute videos. In 2014 I've spent 22 hours watching @rubytapas . What a delicious timesink.
Periodic reminder that @avdi's Ruby Tapas screencasts are amazing: http://t.co/AGfvFG3J96. Looking forward to part 3 of Safe Proxy today!
After being away from code due to a few days’ illness, chain-watching a few of @avdi ’s RubyTapas gets me back in the swing.
I just re-subscribed to RubyTapas... and just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy them and also how much of my work has improved back then and will now thanks to you.
Each episode of @rubytapas is essentially the length of 1 pomodoro break... Perfect combination.
An episode of @rubytapas pretty much always has the answer to “what’s a better way to implement this?” - highly recommended!
@rubytapas blew my mind with awesome screencasts!!
If you're into programming (especially Ruby) then you definitely need to check out @rubytapas by @avdi. ¡Que aproveche!
No one matches @rubytapas in quality of content.
If you do *any* kind of programming RubyTapas will make you better
I love @rubytapas. Thanks for always posting good stuff @avdi
A year ago, I subscribed to @rubytapas. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner.
Seriously, Ruby Tapas is the best Ruby learning resource I have ever used
+1000! @rubytapas is well worth it.
That thing where you give up recommending individual @rubytapas episodes because they're all so good. Just watch them all, please.
Ruby Tapas are GREAT, and well worth the (minor) investment if you really want to grow!
@avdi ’s RubyTapas been a great influence on my coding skills and how I think about programming.
The latest @rubytapas episode is the single most valuable lesson I’ve ever learnt in OO design. Thank you @avdi https://t.co/VEsrqHiWeT
I was impatient enough to buy a monthly subscription... and... Dude. What the fuck. Now I know how Neo must have felt when they started to upload stuff into his brain for the first time!
I already watched the first 20 episodes and... seriously, it's incredible (I'm a Rubyist since 2006, read at least 10+ books, seen some shit. Or so I thought. It was mostly *shit* in the literal sense, compared to this stuff). Please don't pull a Ryan Bates or don't get hit by a bus or whatever!!!
tl;dr: I don't give a shit even if the proration doesn't work, it's too cheap for the quality you are providing either way!
Keep it up...
If you aren't already subscribed to @rubytapas do it now. It's amazing.
Seriously folks you should be watching @avdi ’s ruby tapas I have continued to learn so much from him.
Thank you for wonderful screencasts!
I just realized I unintentionally implemented the _exact_ unpaging facade from @rubytapas. I guess that means I got my money’s worth!
Once again @avdi! Thank so much for @rubytapas, making me a better dev (I hope) by each episode!! ???
If you do any ruby (or even if you don't) you should really check out @rubytapas! I've learned so much there!
Reflecting on how often I say to my teammates: @avdi covered this in @rubytapas episode xyz; have you seen it? Such a great resource!
Stop what you're doing and subscribe to @rubytapas right now!
I just want to say I really enjoy Ruby Tapas. Every time I watch an episode, I am reminded why I love this beautiful language called Ruby.
RubyTapas is so good and somehow universal that I would probably still be buying it when I quit from Ruby
I'm late to the party & repeating myself, but @rubytapas are insanely good - check https://t.co/kwewx8t5SL (free) on constructors
If you aren’t subscribed to RubyTapas you should be.
@avdi Every new @rubytapas episode I learn some new little detail about ruby. Things I should know already perhaps...but super useful 🙂
Let @avdi drop some knowledge on you in short, brilliant videos you can't afford to miss.
Episode 125
What I enjoy most of all in RubyTapas is the depth to which Avdi dives into a topic.
Just subscribed to @rubytapas again. I love the links to previous episodes. It's like a hypermedia screencast!
if you are a #ruby #developer you should definitely subscribe to @rubytapas . It's freakin' awesome. High quality content week over week.
Today I watched my last few episodes on @rubytapas and realized I made a huge mistake letting my subscription go.
For me @rubytapas is by far the greatest source of Ruby knowledge. I've learned so much already which I could apply to my real-world code. And @avdi often spices up @rubytapas episodes with awesome storytelling, special effects, humor, guest appearances and more.
